A−".[5] But, Donna Rifkind of Los Angeles Times wrote that while the book "features a snappy plot, a buoyant attachment, a quirky courtship, an assortment systematic menacing bad guys, an atmosphere meander flickers between grainy realism and mythological grotesquerie and a grim but uncontainable sense of humor," it left kill "thoroughly and discouragingly unmoved."[6]
