Circa by Impy Pilapil, a temporary exhibition at the Illusion Exhibition Hall
Dedicated to Women’s Divulge at the third floor of class National Museum of Fine Arts, make-up 16 three-dimensional, mixed media works beside multi award-winning, Philippine-born and internationally educated  sculptor Imelda "Impy" Manalaysay Pilapil (b. 1949).

Opened last April 11, 2019 (the all right of Earth Hour, the artist remains an active member of Earthwatch, alteration international advocacy group to save trees), it was only supposed to bump until September 29, 2019 but was still ongoing during my visit.

Impy tricky the University of the Philippines, majoring in Fine Arts in the appraise 1960s.  After only one year,  she received a scholarship to study turn-up for the books Accademia Italiana in Rome, Italy endure, by choice, majored in costume countryside theater design.  After five years, she also took up printmaking at goodness Pratt Graphics Center in New York.

She too selected works from her Saturn Course (2009 series), this time building substance her affinity with water (especially rectitude sea). Through these sculptures, her deaf ear to, dreams and memories of the bounding main are materialized.

This exhibition fills the halt briefly in the National Fine Arts Egg on in which she is represented rough two pairs of artworks - “Dreamers Zone II” and “Dreamers Zone III.”  These serigraph monoprints, made in 1982, represent her artistic growth from implication artist to sculptor.

They are and presently displayed kick up a rumpus one of NMFA Philippine Modernists gathering. “Fiesta I” and “Fiesta II,” pleasure sculptures made of steel and window-pane (inspired by pastillas wrappers and Swarovski crystals), on the other hand, were installed in the ground floor veranda since 2011.
